Best Outfit - Winner!

Best OutFit went to the wearer of the brightest leggings we’ve seen in a very long time and a shining star from our sister FrontRunner group, Newcastle FrontRunners, Karen Mallett!

Best Outfit - Commendation

Our judges were also very impressed at GFR’s very own Robin Smith who turned it out in his homemade colourful bib!

Best HOMErun Hill

Our usual timed 5 mile race, OUTrun, is famous for the sting in it’s tail, a steep(ish) hill through Kelvingrove Park. We were super impressed with everyone’s effort to involve a hill however there could only be one winner and our King of the HOMErun hill is GFR’s Eamonn Butler McIntosh who ran alongside his husband and some friends in beautiful Ireland. Just look at that view!

Furthest Afield HOMErun - Sean Campbell

GFR’s Sean Campbell couldn’t wait to get his GFR gear on and paint Burlington Town with his Canadian Beau, Michael who got in the spirit of things by sporting our OUTrun 2018 top!

And map fans, you can see how far away Burlington is right here - all 5,322.24km away from GFR’s usual base of The ARC in Glasgow.

Best Strava Art

Three of GFR’s committee turned themselves into the Renoirs of Running with this fine piece of Strava art in a field in Glasgow’s Southside, with their post-modern take on the HOMErun House, your winners are Cameron Winton, Jo Jeffreys and Calum Mcintyre.

Best Scenic Picture

And our final award (because nobody sent in any photos of baking - although we did spot NFR getting their sugar levels back up after their runs!!) goes to Mr Daniel O"Loughlin who took his HOMErun to the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and took in gorgeous views like these beside Loch Katrine and Loch Arklet.

We hope that everyone had a fantastic HOMErun and we very much have all our fingers crossed that OUTrun can return next year as long as it’s safe to do so.

A huge thank you to our super supporters Queens Cross Housing Association and LEAP Sports Scotland for once again backing another massively successful GFR event.
