Rainbow Relay
Our longest running and most colourful annual event!

The 2026 edition of Rainbow Relay was held on Sunday the 15th February 2026. Check back for future events.
Rainbow Relay is held at Pollokshields Burgh Hall

Each relay team has three runners, and each runner does two laps around Maxwell Park (it’s 1.25km per lap, so a total of 2.5km per person and 7.5km per team). 🏁
There will be a group warm up to begin, followed by a bake sale and prize-giving in the hall afterwards.

Description If you’re a member, confirm on Spond and add your name to the sign up sheet. If you’re not a member, just show up on the day.
Members, friends, family, and colleagues are all invited to enter with their own teams but if you don’t have a team, that’s okay! We will arrange teams on the day of the event itself.

The event is to raise money for LGBTQIA+ History Month. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✊
There will be a bake sale after, so please bring some goodies along if you can (there will be drinks available too). 🧁
Donations are going to Time for Inclusive Education (TIE), Scotland’s LGBT Inclusive Education charity. They work with schools across the country to embed LGBT themes (such as history, rights, and equalities) into ordinary teaching and learning. This approach became a national expectation for schools in 2021 and helps to tackle the stereotypes, prejudice, and bullying that young people who are LGBT, or have LGBT family members, can often experience.
You can donate at the bake sale in cash or by card, and on our JustGiving page which will be made available closer to the date

To create our rainbow we ask you to wear one of the colours from the LGBTQIA+ flag. To make sure each colour is represented, the colour is determined by your birth month (see below image). There will be a prize for best dressed team so feel free to get creative!

A 5km bootcamp style fun run! Each 1km marker will have a host of challenges to take part in, including sprints to chase (and catch) Santa! 🎅
Everyone is welcome – members, potential members, friends, family and co-workers, so please do spread the word. The only limitation we have is that all runners must be 18+ for this event. -
The event is free, although we are asking for donations – all of which will go to Terrence Higgins Trust Scotland.
